Matches               are               scheduled               to               last               three               minutes,               although               if               you're               playing               in               the               tournament,               the               game               doesn't               end               until               someone               gets               five               points.

If               you               do,               it's               awfully               hard               to               keep               inside               the               game's               borders,               and               when               that               happens,               you               stop               controlling               your               paddle.

Catch               33               -               In               this               game,               it's               just               you               against               a               bunch               of               numbered               squares,               which               float               randomly               over               the               screen.

But               be               careful,               because               if               you               glide               over               a               number               too               quickly,               it               won't               disappear               at               all.
Escapa               -               Probably               the               simplest               idea               of               all               the               games.

You               are               a               red               square               on               a               white               field               surrounded               by               a               black               border.

The               object               of               the               game?

Don't               touch               the               black               border               around               the               white               area,               and               don't               run               into               any               of               the               blue               objects.

Simple?

Yes,               in               concept.

My               "record"               for               staying               alive               is               22               seconds.
Ball               Revamped:               Metaphysik               -               I               hated               this               game               for               so               long.

It's               a               very               simple               concept               -               use               your               four               arrow               keys               to               navigate               a               ball               through               a               maze.

There               are               obstacles               to               avoid,               and               some               you               need               to               hit               in               order               to               open               gates.

There's               a               designated               finish               point,               and               sometimes               the               maze               starts               moving.

Oh,               and               did               I               mention               this               game               has               gravity?

Yup.

It's               not               as               easy               as               simply               navigating               through               the               maze.

No,               the               more               you               do               nothing,               the               faster               the               ball               starts               dropping               toward               the               bottom               of               the               screen.

Except               on               those               levels               when               gravity               is               backwards.

I               haven't               played               it               much               since               then,               but               in               preparing               to               write               this               article,               I               took               another               look               and               it's               still               fun.

It               isn't               exactly               a               chore               to               beat               the               computer               (although               there               are               dozens               of               teams               to               choose               from),               but               what               makes               the               game               interesting               is               that               the               teams,               like               in               so               many               video               games,               are               given               different               attributes.

So,               using               a               strong               team               to               beat               up               on               a               weak               team               doesn't               necessarily               bring               you               as               many               points               as               using               a               weak               team               to               beat               a               strong               team.

In               fact,               it               isn't               even               close.

What               it               is,               and               I               want               to               say               this               very               carefully,               without               too               much               hyperbole,               is               possibly               the               Greatest               Thing               On               The               Internet.

Too               strong?

Maybe.
